Recently I upgrade my new laptop from windows 7 ultimate to
windows 8/8.1. After installing some games like Need for Speed Most Wanted I
found that the game won’t run in full screen mode I was disappointed and never
like movies showing at the middle of the screen much less my games so I got it
fixed this is how I did it.
- Press windows + R on the keyboard or go to “Start Menu -> Accessories -> Run” to open “Run”.
- Type “regedit”. Registry Editor will open
- Go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SYSTEM -> ControlSet001 -> Control ->GraphicsDrivers -> Configuration -> LEN40350_00_07D9........... -> 00 -> 00
Note: The above
directory named “LEN40350_00_07D9 .........” may have different name on your system
according to the monitor and video drivers you are using. The configuration directory can contain more
than one sub directories like in the above image have three sub directories MSBDD_LEN40350_00_07D9_82...... then do set scaling value for all of them.
- On the right side area you will see a key named “Scaling” show in the image above
- Double click on it and change the “Value Data” field to 3. Base will be “Hexadecimal
